Interlude: The interconnectivity of conversations and curiosity
A bit of a musing on the art of the interview and its requirement for intense care, inquiry, and engagement of others
I do need to come back and write the full transcript of this audio post but to give a quick synopsis, in this recording I muse about a recorded video interview I had with an artist here in Seattle for a local gallery, and afterwards how it made me think so much about the presence of theory in our lives as action, queerness as a framework, inquiry as a mode of practice and way of moving through the world, and conversation as something that propels us forward. I get a little bit into the art of the interview, too. Enjoy!
Today's post is short! Unscripted! And under the influence of a migraine so I have descriptive words in here that I wouldn't have chosen otherwise but as everything is in progress as it goes and ongoing, that's how it goes. But ultimately, this little ramble is about how over the course of the past few days I've been thinking about how the subjects we've been looking at have converged /are always converging in my own life and work, and it's been especially cool to see it this week. And I want to hear from you! So let's take it to the Discord—I've created a new channel for the topic of the month so we can all come together in conversation.
